COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides participants an introduction to safety and health management systems. This course can be taken individually or as part 2 of the Safety & Health Program Management. The focus of this training is the implementation of an effective safety and health management system. The topics include a review of current safety and health management system concepts such as ANSI Z10, OHST 1801, and I2P2. Learn to: Explain the benefits of implementing an effective safety and health management system Identify the core elements of an effective safety and health program under each of the current concepts Describe the key processes in each of the safety and health concepts Demonstrate an understanding of Safety and Occupational Health Office administrative records management procedures through the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS) Identify the types of meetings, advantages and disadvantages, how to plan and conduct a safety and occupational health councils and committee meetings.
