LEGAL ASPECTS OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Legal and regulatory risks related to safety and health have increased significantly to include increased monetary penalties and civil and criminal penalties. Beginning with an overview of the basic legal structure and concepts, the course examines the areas where safety and health professionals may be involved in potential litigation. The course reviews several regulatory requirements to include the OSH Act and describes the framework for this regulatory mandate. We review the rulemaking process that incorporates both general administrative law concepts and those features unique to the OSH Act.
PLEASE NOTE: A percentage of 70% or higher is considered passing for the test associated with this online course. Upon completion and passing the test, you will be able to download a certification of completion.
You will only have one opportunity to pass the test. If you do not pass the test, you will be required to register and pay again to retake the course and test.
